The Land Conservation Operations Coordinator plays an integral role in Upstate Forever’s Land Conservation program. The goal of this program is to protect rivers and streams, natural and scenic areas, farmland, wildlife habitat, and other iconic places in the Upstate. We accomplish this goal by working with willing landowners and partners primarily by using conservation easements to permanently protect their real property assets. Completing the conservation easement process includes many similar steps to the real estate transactions including negotiating offers, tracking due diligence, and preparing for closing.
This full-time position reports to the Land Conservation Director and functions in a work environment that is dynamic, fast-paced, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, with many projects occurring simultaneously. This position plays a critical role in successfully facilitating the conservation easement process through administrative support and close coordination with other Land Conservation staff. This position can be based out of Upstate Forever’s Greenville or Spartanburg office and is primarily office-based with intermittent traveling as necessary.
