Membership is available to non-profit land trusts whose principal activity is the acquisition and management of legal interests in land for conservation. We also encourage county and state organizations to join as supporting members.
Contact Jen Howard for more information about membership.
Time to get out of the woods! Grow your career and give back to your profession by joining one of our focused small groups and attending our in-person gatherings. Participation is encouraged for staff and board members of all member organizations.
Member gatherings are held annually in May and September, with an annual retreat in February.
This group gathers virtually and in-person to educate elected leaders and member organization staff about opportunities to increase the pace of land protection through legislation or policies, such as Conservation Bank funding, tax credits for landowners seeking to protect properties, and county funding initiatives.
Swap success stories on the art and science of the deal with peers from across the state in this small group that brings together land protection staff who work with landowners to secure and close conservation easements.
A land steward’s job never ends…truly. The Stewardship Forum hosts twice a year in-person field visits for those responsible for stewarding conservation easements in perpetuity. The group also participates virtually in the Southeastern Land Trust Alliance Stewardship Forum which meets online every other month.
The LTN is a statewide cohesive voice for land protection efforts and the Comms Working Group is the creative engine behind the organization’s outreach work. We invite any member with a passion for stories to participate.
